I wonder if the "beauty" of the chaste generation is that it would mark the end of humanity. If we've learned anything thus far in this insidious book, it's that we're terribly wicked and we deserve to hit our own reset button (and not force God into another devastating flood scenario, though he does need reminding not to do that again [Genesis 9: 15, 16]).
