Mark 1:9 - It's odd to think that the savior of all mankind, current and future, would need to be baptized. According to some apologetics sources, Jesus was baptized as a ceremonial gesture, marking the beginning of his ministry and symbolically "washing" himself so that he could be accepted by the Holy Spirit.

Jesus was just going through the motions because he was waiting for the cleaning staff to get his room ready up there in Heaven.
